Subject: Please reduce chatty posts to Unicode list
Can we try to keep the (currently) numerous "chit-chat" posts on the
Unicode mailing list to an absolute minimum?
If I wanted to read this type of submission I would log into a chat
room....
Surely this type of interaction is best kept to private e-mails
between list members?
What's more, such messages simply clog up the list archives (and
members' inboxes) with (largely) useless submissions and fragmented
responses.
Just my rant for the morning.....

shift there conversations over there when they depart from discussions of
Unicode.
Thanks to the Divine Effulgence of Her Blessed Radiancy, we actually do
have just such a place of exile, even so named.

Agreed. Maybe we could have an ***@unicode.org just so that people can
shift there conversations over there when they depart from discussions of
Unicode. Then people can discuss conventions for the price of a metric pint of
beer with hexidecimal euro number formats to their heart's content, and leave
the rest of us in blissful ignorance.
